Tell us about your journey. Why advertising and technology?

I’m a recovering politico thoroughly enjoying my very first stint in the private sector. I was hired as a writer for a Chicago-based politician who eventually became Governor and appointed me to lead the Illinois office in Washington, DC and later the Illinois Office of Tourism where I learned media buying from the client side. Today, MBuy gives me the opportunity to help tourism clients stretch their media dollars further.

In what ways has working at MBuy challenged you and enabled you to grow?

When I walked through the MBuy doors on day one, I thought I knew digital advertising. I had so much to learn! Working at MBuy means working with a group of people who anticipate technology advances and innovate solutions before the industry pivots.

What do you enjoy most about working at MBuy?

The people. But the Captain Crunch cereal in the kitchen is a close second.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years and what role does MBuy play in helping you get there?

My life goal is to be an author. MBuy is very supportive of my desire to write and allows me opportunities to blog for the company and write proposals and presentations.

What’s your favorite employee perk at MBuy?

Besides the cereal?! The summer party complete with embarrassingly awesome displays of karaoke.

Coffee or tea?

Cats or dogs?

What are your favorite websites that you can be found browsing during lunch?

lensofjen.org (shameless self-promotion)

What’s your favorite TV show?

I can’t help it…I love "The Bachelor." Stop judging!
