Event Highlights: Ad Age Small Agency 2018
This year, MBuy co-sponsored the AdAge Small Agency Conference & Awards in Santa Monica, CA. As a long time sponsor of this event, we are happy to say that each year we find ourselves surrounded by successful innovators and great minds. The advertising industry is ever-expanding; for that reason, we believe it’s essential to support the work of creative and independent agencies.
Within this year’s agenda, MBuy’s Ryan Saurer, General Manager and Executive VP of Sales, presented “Great Ideas Don’t Pay the Bills,” exploring the bridge between an era of innovation and an abundance of data within a rapidly changing media landscape.
In case you missed it, here are some key takeaways:
- The Customer Journey: It’s become more complex, which means understanding it and navigating it takes more than just data.
- Quantifiable Data: It’s not enough to present data if it can’t be discussed internally the way you would market it externally.
- Data as a Resource: Data and analytics should not be used as a closing statement; they should be applied as resources within decision making processes.
Although he did shine, Ryan was not our only MBuy star at the event. Kirsty King, Kristen Held, Kyle Hampton, and Matthew Winkel from our MBuy West Coast office assisted our information booth.
Congratulations to this year's award winners and we will see you next year!
